Thoughts on disk drive config required please!

Hi

I am thinking I want to add a second Hard disk to my system.

I run SageTV, and Theatertek and myhtpc.

What I am wondering is!! Would I be better having a dedicated hard disk for Sagetv, and a dedicated disk for DVD's ripped? and keeping my original disk for the system software?

So I would end up with:

Original 160GB disk, 40GB partition for software windows etc, the rest for ripped CD, using monkeys audio

the second disk drive formatted to 64k blocks for sagetv, probably 120GB

the third formatted to 64 k blocks for ripped dvd's for watching in TT, probably 300GB

is this a good idea?

I would also put the sage tv disk on it's own ide channel to help reduce chances of stutter.

I also think this would help if i were to have a failure. and reduce loses.

Please give you thoughts

Dan
