Taddeusz-I kept playing with the nVidia drivers. I went back to 93.71 and all is working fine. I think If I would have just reloaded the same driver in the first place, that might have got rid of the purple haze.
bcjenkins-I was finally able to install 1.6u2. It wouldn't work fully with the FireFly software. Exit wouldn't work on program guide and the VCR buttons wouldn't work while watching a video. I went back to 1.4.1_07.
