What causes SageTV to ignore tuners.
Ok this was driving me crazy... All of a sudden I had all these conflicts. I finally figured out that my USB2 Hauppauge was not being recognized by Sagetv. I tried re-adding it but it was not listed as availible.
I then looked in device manager and my USB2 device showed up working fine. I uninstalled it re-installed the drivers but still sage would not be recognize it. I powered off rebooted unplugged the device... well you get my drift I tried everything technically possible. Little did I know that SageTV decided to add the USB2 tuner to the ignore list all by itself. this happend on 07 /15 mmc/ignore_encoders=BDA Slip De-Framer|SB Live\! MIDI UART|NVIDIA DualTV YUV Capture|Hauppauge WinTV PVR2 USB2 Encoder|SB Live\! Wave Device|NVIDIA DualTV YUV Capture 2| I missed but a few recordings as mostly everything is reruns now. My question is why would Sage add a tuner to the Ignore list?? I can see if maybe the tuner didnt boot up right that sage would not use it. But on the next reboot of Sagetv if the tuner is fine why not use it. I had to rermove the Ignore line from my properties in order for Sage to recognize my tuner. This makes no sense to me why it would add the tuner to ignore list and no warnings etc...

Send a report to SageTV... I think there are supposed to be some checks to prevent tuners that are known to work from getting added to the ignore list when there is a temporary problem with one.
