Hauppauge Remote question
The remote works, but only works when SageTV is the active application. It will not work if SageTV is not considered the foreground app. This behavior seems to also take place with Hauppauge's software as well. What can I do to make the SageTV commands for the remote active for SageTV regardless if SageTV is the foreground application or not?

Basically the way the remote works is to simulate keyboard strokes, so sagetv will have to be the foreground application, but as you can see in that thread, you can get the remote to wake sage up. Hope this helps! :-D

An alternative that *does* work even if SageTV is not the foreground app is to use girder (www.girder.nl). Girder, with some available plugins allows you to send messages to SageTV even if SageTV is not the foregraound app.
