SageTV intermittently freezes at the beginning of a show

Sometimes, when SageTV does the cutover from one show to another on the same channel it "freezes" on the second show. That is, it shows the first frame of video from the second show and goes into what appears to be pause mode. If I subsequently hit the skip button to jump forward 10 seconds, everything begins working normally again.

This behaviour does not happen often. If I'm at home and leave Sage running on the same channel for the entire day, then I'd say this behaviour occurs once or twice.

While this error is not fatal, it is annoying. It is also disconcerting to the computer illiterate in the house. They think the whole computer has frozen and try to reboot it rather than playing around with the skip button.

So, has anyone else noticed this behaviour. Any workarounds/fixes exist?

My system config is WinXP Pro SP1, P4 2.0Ghz, Sage 1.4.10, Hauppage audio/video decoder and a 120GB driver w/64k clusters dedicated to Sage recordings.

Regards
Lester
