No internet = No Sage???
We recently went out of town for 4 days. We left Thursday afternoon, and my wife's favorite show is on Thursday evening. Sage had flawlessly recorded that and every other program up until that point. Well, not so that fateful Thursday.
I had unplugged the cable modem thinking that Thursday's programs would surely be recorded, and if I missed a few screen savers episodes etc I would survive. I was wrong, Sage did not record any show from the point I unplugged the cable modem on. Why is that, it was Thursday afternoon for gosh sakes, why would in not have that days info loaded? And no the power did not go out, etc. So how often does Sage need to connect? It is now even more important because I am building a dedicated Sage box that will only have internet access when I drag out the long ugly lan cable, which I hoped to only do about once or twice a week. Any help is greatly appreciated! Bonus questions: There are some Sage shows that can not be defragged, I even tried in safe mode. Any hints? |
