Tearing at the top of the screen
Hi all!
I'm getting some tearing at the top of the output from one of my PVRs (using SageTV v1.4.10 and a Hauppauge PVR350). It's not always noticable on every MPEG. But my other system, no problems. Is this the "Zoom" feature? If so, do I zoom more to crop the top? Thanks! Kevin Last edited by padre; 12-18-2003 at 02:34 PM. |

I get this too. It happens to me in WinTV(outside of SageTV). When Tuner cards first started coming out, we had an adjustment for the card drivers(almost like overlay settings), I can't seem to find the adjustment for the hauppauge drivers. I'm hoping there is some registry hack somewhere to zoom 1 line out to get rid of the tearing.

Just use the zoom in sagetv itself.

falchulk, thanks, but any details on how to use it? What it does? The manual wasn't too clear on it.

Click setup, detailed setup. I am not at home so I am remembering its on the multimedia tab. Just increase whatever its at by a few points.

falchulk, thanks, that's what I was looking for. So basically you're increasing the screen dimensions, and they should cut off the top (and of course) the bottom 1, 2 or more lines. I'll play with it this weekend and see what happens.
