New computer -- what IR files to move?
I just upgraded to a new computer. Everything is great, except I don't want to train my new Sage installation about my remote. I suspect that I can move some configuration files from my old comuter to my new one. The question -- which ones to move to migrate IR support?

Should just be the sage.properties and maybe the sage.properties.autobackup.
You could always just copy your whole sage dir over too, after installing sage on the new computer. I'd make a backup of the old and fresh directories though, so in case anything goes wrong you have something to go back to. |

You need to copy the files from the other directory in frey technology, you will reconise it by the name you called the remote you programmed in the setup wizard.
in the frey technologies folder there are two folders, sage tv and another, this is the one were the files for ir are. Install sage first the copy all the sage properties, wiz, and ir files over and restart sage. Sorry I can't be more specific, I don't have access to my htpc at the mo to tell you the exact path Dan |

The necessary files are the sage.properties and wiz.bin/bak files. Plus any IR files you created for any set-top box control. If you are also moving the video files and you want them to still appear correctly in SageRecordings, you'll need to have all your drives mapped the same on the new PC as the old one.
