I have have been following a couple threads about how to set up Comskip and Comskip Monitor so they will work on remote drives (in the future, I will be adding some NAS for Sage to record to).
Presently I have Comskip (with Comskip Monitor) installed on my Sage machine (recording to a local disk). I am NOT running Sage in service mode. My questions deal with how to modify this setup so that this same functionality will work when I specify a UNC pathed networked drive (right now this local setup works like a CHAMP).
First question: How do you set up UNC paths for Comskip Monitor (so Comskip can see the same path as Sage does for the recording)? I don't believe you can specify UNC paths from the Comskip Monitor "setup.bat" file. But, I believe you can edit a certain properties file to set the UNC path properly (I can't recall that file name at the moment). Can someone please give me an example that a 4 year old could understand?
Second question: Assuming I am recording to UNC pathed NAS, AND assuming I have Comskip Monitor setup to this same UNC path, what else is needed so that Comskip/Comskip Monitor works just as it does when I do everything on my local machine? If it makes things easier, I could run Sage in service mode (or not).
I have read that the Comskip service must have read/write access to the NAS for it to work. My shared drive allows for r/w access for all users (this should be OK...right)

What else am I missing?
