S-video on mobo or card question...
I own a GeforceFX 5200 128 Meg video card with s-video out for my PVR system.
I had purchased a mobo, but now have to RMA it because it was bad and so was the 2nd one they shipped me. In the process of looking for a new microATX mobo I found 2 or 3 that have s-video connectors (nforce2 chipsets). They seem to use the Geforce4mx onboard video. So here's my questions. 1. Anyone using a mobo like one of these? 2. Would I lose performance? 3. Would I lose quaility? 4. Does anyone think ATI s-video is better then Nvidia? 5. If so which card(s)? Right now I'm getting a "redish tint" to my video while I had my system running. (which wasn't very long). I never noticed that with my old ATI 64 Meg VIVO. By using this onboard video and it's s-video I'll save myself a card and be able to through it back in my personal Win2K server. Any input or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Chris |

I have noticed the ATI 9XXX series to have pretty good video and video controlls for their tv output. I have a Ti4600 and a Radeon 9800 and the Svideo between the two is close, but I like the output on the ati better. As for the onboard video, I am not sure, but being a Nforce2 chipset, its probably close to the Ti4600 I have, therefore, not as good as the ATI
