SageMC & New Beyond TV convert.

Hi,

My first post here, so sorry if it takes a while for me to get my head around all this. I have taken the plunge and moved from BeyondTV buying SageTV licence and a couple of placeshifter licences (MediaMVP + Laptop).

Anyway - enough of intros.

I have the SageMC package up and running, and will slowly figure out all the customisations already included in this package - it really is an excellent job - thanks.

Q: Is there a list somewhere of all the plug-ins included in the SageMC package to shorten the learning time anywhere (other than going through the full changelog list)?

Q2: I saw that Google Video in in the latest SageMC, is You Tube anywhere, or is that planned for later?

Thanks.

Here's a list of all plugins.. just look for the ones that say "MC" in the plugin name.

http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7953

Buried somewhere towards the end of the SageMC thread is a simple tweak to add support for You Tube videos in addition to Google Videos. It works perfectly.

A couple of "must have" addons is MovieTimes for SageMC and SlimPlayer for SageMC. There are some very cool themes you can use to get SageMC to look very nice. I customized mine to be a mix between the Liquid Theme and iTV theme.

Thanks.

Actually I was interested in which plugin's were a part of the SageMC package as it stands, rather than the additional ones I can add.

Stil looking for the You Tube instructions (I'll keep looking) - Thanks.

Here are the YouTube instructions. I think this is what you are looking for.

SageMC has so many features, it's hard to come up with a definitive list. Your best bet might be to start at the first post in the currently active SageMC thread. There is also a wiki linked at the beginning of the original SageMC thread. It is very out of date, but it does cover the original feature set. HTH

Aloha,
Mike

Off the top of my head, the following functionality (which is available as plugins for the default STV) are part of the SageMC STV:

- Niel's RSS feeds (but not latest version)
- Niel's dynamic menus
- auto comskip support
- .my file support
