Problems with waking up from standby...

Hi all..
Hopefully someone can shed some light on this.

When i put my server into standby, i can wake it up manually no problems with WOL or by pushing the power button.

However, when the SageTV Service tries to wake up the server for a scheduled recording, the machines powers on ok, but i get a black screen and i can't do anything. Almost as if the machine is in a half awake and half asleep state, and nothing i do or press will fully awaken it.
Also, the scheduled recording does not record.
Ctrl+Alt+Del does not work.
Soft reset required at this stage.

Any ideas ?

Like i said, manually waking up the machine works.. it's only when SageTV Service tries to wake it up that the problem occurs.

thank you

***FIXED***
Don't know why, but had to roll back to previous video card driver ( the one installed with XP ).
The problem seemed to have been caused by the latest drivers from Nvidia.

cheers.

May I ask what Nvidia drivers are you referring to? Also what version?

I occasionally run into this problem my self. Maybe I can try your solutions?

Hey Vincent,

I was using the latest drivers on the nVidia website, Forceware 93.71 for WinXP.
The card i am using is GeForce 2 MX400 64Mb ram. Thats all i need since it is only a server, and it actually runs SageMC very well...

When i ran into problems, i rolled back to the drivers that were installed by WinXP during installation. These drivers are dated 7/04/2004.

cheers
