Video source not showing up

I am running Sagetv vs. 6 and loving it on my home computer. I gave my friend my old copy of 2.0 to use on his computer. I installed it with no problem but when it starts it asks for him to choose his video source but there are no options to choose. He has a hauppage 150 with the latest drivers. WinTV works perfectly but for the life of me I can not get his Sage to show that he has a tuner card. Any suggestions out there other than tell him to fork out the money and buy the newest version for himself. He is running it on a plenty heafty machine with Windows XP pro. Thanks.

First, a v6 upgrade license requires both the old one and the new one when entering the license for a new install, so a v6 upgrade license is not a stand-alone one that frees up the old license for other use. Second, the license agreement states that licenses are not transferrable -- see at least sections 1 and 2 of EULA.txt in your SageTV directory.

This is reason enough to suggest that he buy his own license.

Now, to return to the issue of the tuner: I'm not sure, but I thought support for the 150 came after v2.

Thanks

I thought I would give it a try on this forum but I do love this product so much that I should be able to convince him to just buy it. Thanks

You can always try V6 for free for like, what, 15 days? That's enough to get the Pope hooked on this stuff.
