Thanks I found it now, this is the last entry in there:

wizard/widget_db_file=C\:\\Program Files\\SageTV\\SageTV\\STVs\\SageTV3\\SageTV3.xml
zzz=true

but this is the last ui one: ui/windowless=false

so what should i enter and where?

Thanks,
Jack

BTW what's the difference between SageTV & SageMC does SageMC require Windows media center or will it work with XP?
Yes, you need to install SageMC first. This is basically just a graphics update for the SageMC STV. The SageMC STV is basically a reorganization of the funstionality of SageTV into a more set-top-box-ish interface, and incorporates a lot of useful addons that add functionality to SageTV. Windows Media Center is not required to run SageMC. The name is just based upon the fact that the layout is similar to the Windows MCE default layout.

Search the file for "ui/themes" and then follow the instructions in the first post.

Have you selected the SageMC xml under advanced in detailed setup? If so, you may have to go to the themes section for it to populate in the properties.

From what I recall, you need to select the stv, exit SageTV and relaunch for all of the initialization to occur. Then go into themes, (maybe rotate through them all) and exit again. At which point you will have the info in your properties file.

Make sure you have exited and stopped the service if applicable. Save the properties with the edits and restart. As long as the folder exists you should see the theme and it should load after another restart.

PS Any reason for the period after the name?

So here's the rub.. I am not using this theme or SageMC. I don't know the layout of the zip file. Bottom line, it has to go in the c:\program files\sagetv\sagetv\stvs\sagemc? folder. When you find the right spot, you will see the other folders named as above in the ui/themes section.

I'm having some trouble trying the get this "skin" to work. I just installed Sage and this my first attempt to change th UI. I copied the downloaded STV folder in to C:\Program Files\SageTV\SageTV and then added the following to the sage.properties file:

ui/themes/00/image_root=Images_Foofaraw
ui/themes/00/title=Foofaraw

And saved it. I then opened Sage and went to to setup >detailed setup>advanced. All I see here is Sage MCE, Wheather Icons and SageTV3.stv. This is where I'm stuck, what do I do now?
