USB-UIRT, Does it support IRDA?

Hey,

Does anyone know if the USB-UIRT, will support IRDA, remote control signals used by Pace digital Set-top boxes?

Most of the posts ive read on the USB-UIRT forum suggest that it doesnt support IRDA, however take a look at this one:
