Sorry for the late reply...I can stream HD also using wireless N. I have an HDHomeRun and have done it wired directly to the second nic on the server and wired to the router, streaming wireless N to my server. No issues.

I've got a D-Link DIR-655 Gigabit Draft-N running as a access point (no DHCP). I consistently get 240Mbps connections to my HTPC about 30 feet away with Linksys Draft-N PCI card with external antenna. The D-Link DIR-655 was decently priced and looks great mounted upside down on my ceiling. It's white with white antennas. You don't even notice it.

The "root" of my system is a Linksys WRV54G
I only use one of the 10/100Mbps ports to go to a
Linksys EG008W 8-port Gigabit switch
The D-Link DIR-655 is fed a Gigabit link off one of the ports.

I stream HD, music, and even have a throttled FTP server off of the HTPC via wireless. Everything works great.

In case you were wondering why I don't use the D-Link DIR-655 as the root of the system, it doesn't have VPN endpoint like the Linksys WRV54G. I also wanted to put the D-Link, which has draft-N, in the center of the house as an access point.
