Sky, Freeview and Nova-S
I'm looking at using the Hauppauge Nova-S to watch free-to-air Sky channels with sage. Anyone done this?

I guess that the answer is a big fat NO!
Oh well. I've looked into using MyTheater and the SageTV network encoder plugin but it seams like an a lot of work to do just for the wife to say 'It takes too long for the channels to change'. I've read reports that using the Firewire boxes for DVB, it takes 8 or 9 seconds. Is this down to the box or down to the MyTheater-plugin-SageTV setup? Rick, can you comment?

I can't really, but Sage will generally tune anything with a BDA driver. So if you're after Sky FTA and the Nova-S has a BDA driver, it will probably work just fine in Sage. I can tune Cable FTA directly in Sage.
Jeff has also said that DVB-S/S2 is on its way soon.
