No Video Capture Device Found

On Vista OS, installed a WinTV USB2 PVR. WinTV 2000 works. Sage TV gives the following error message, "No video capture device found. Please install a capture device to use with Sage TV". Installed Sage TV 4.0, upgraded to 6.0 and finally installed Sage TV_V6_1_7Setup.exe. Each version produce the error.
On a prior vista beta installed 4.0 then 6.0 and sage tv worked. Will try BTV next to see if it works. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Make sure that no other app is still trying to use the tuner, including Vista itself or WinTV 2000.

You could also try moving the existing sage.properties file and its autobackup to another dir, then try running SageTV to see if a completely fresh configuration works.

Thanks for the response. Installed BTV. It works. How does one check to see if Vista/WinTV are trying to use the device? Uninstalled Sage TV and will reinstall. If no go will follow the posted suggestion. Thanks again.

Reinstalled Sage TV 6.0. Same problem! Moved the properties files to a "test" folder. Will report results. Thanks again.

Resolved: Removed sage tv. Deleted all files left in the sage tv folder in program files. Deleted all sage tv registry entries. Rebooted. Cleaned the registry. Rebooted. Installed sage tv 4.0, worked. Installed 6.0 and the latest update. Watching sage tv.
