A lot of time and patience. Which ATI raedon do you have? Is it a supported tuner card for Sage? 512MB of RAM would be the very bare minimum in my mind, you would most likely get a snappier system with 1GB.

I am guessing then, you will need to hook the Dish tuner to the AIW with s-video and use an IR repeater to change the channels on the tuner using your MCE remote and Sage.

You need to be able to have Sage change the channels on the tuner. In order to do that you'll need an IR repeater to send a signal to the tuner unless you can control the tuner via rs232 or firewire.

Also see the similar question posted here, particularly the info about the USB-UIRT and the difference between software and hardware encoders, if your ATI card is a software encoder.

Oh, an MCE blaster: there should be links in one or more stickies at the top of this hardware forum regarding using the MCE IR blaster -- SageTV does not use that blaster directly, but I believe there are ways to get it to work.
