"Used Video Diskspace" is incorrect
I just upgraded to V6, and SageTV is not properly reporting the used video disk space. I have about 110GB of recordings, but after the upgrade it was showing showing about 40GB on the system information page. I tried moving the recordings to another folder and updating the path in SageTV, and it now reads 0GB (even though SageTV does see the recordings in their new location).
Oddly, it the available space that it reports is correct. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks. |

If you try to play one of the recordings, does it play? Check the path and whether it lists the show's size at the bottom of the Recording Detail screen.
If the path is correct, but the size is still 0, maybe there is a permission issue. - Andy

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I can play the recordings and both the path and file size are correct on the recording details screen. I don't quite understand your comment about a permissions issue. Can you explain? Thanks, Mark |

Through some combination of moving files around and rebooting the computer, the disk space corrected itself. I'm not sure what fixed it, but I'm going to leave it alone.

I am experiencing this same exact issue. I moved all my recordings to UNC paths successfully and they all got updated properly and all still have their info but they don't register as used video diskspace...only new recordings add to the used space. The old ones do however count in the Total Video Content total. They all were under Recoverable Video Diskspace also and I used the web server to set them all to archived then I unset them from archived and they are no longer listed as recoverable (which is good) but they still don't count towards used space.
EDIT: the archiving and unarchiving set everything to manual status which is why they were no longer in the recoverable list. Last edited by ToxMox; 12-01-2007 at 01:26 PM. |
