Question "No Signal" at the end of each show?

Greetings.

Recently Sage has mucked up on me, and I can not figure out what the problem is.

I can watch Sage No Problems at all, but when the next show begins (At the Hour or Half hour) the picture will freeze, and I get the "NO SIGNAL". If I wait about 5 minutes it will return and the show will be on. Or I can restart Sage and it works no problems. This will also occur when you change channels.

This problem began when I installed another SATA 500Gig WD HD.

Any ideas on what is causing this?

I am using Sage Tv with a PVR-150 and an ATI x700 Video card P4 1gig ram Dedicated server.

Thanks
Preciated.

This worked for me using Nvidia DualTv:

Close SageTV and the service if running and open up your Sage.properties
file. Look for this line, "seeker/fast_mux_switch=true" and change it from
true to false.

I thought that would only affect a digital input?

Check you didn't dislodge any cables when you put the disk in, then run some diagnostics on the disks, see if a disk error is causing Sage to take a long time when it creates the new file.

You can also turn off "Always Tune Channel" in setup, see if it helps, but seems less likely.

Turn on debug logging if you haven't already, and see what happens at the appropriate moment...

No, that predates digital inputs and can also work when the default recording quality has been changed to something like VCD & recordings then started failing for the first 5 minutes.

Wow, any idea what the "mux" bit refers to then? I assumed mux=multiplexed digital data stream...

I don't really know, but as far as SageTV can tell, all recorded shows are digital files.

But as far as I know, were never "muxed" and demuxed until it used digital broadcasts. Not that it matters!
