Sounds with BOTH Stereo and AC3?

can this be done? I have configured out how to get DD AC3 to work via the optical out on my sound card with ac3filter. but then I loose the ability to listen to SD tv thru the stereo speakers on the tv set. any way to get them both to work so I can watch DVD's in AC3 and SD tv in stereo?

Just uncheck PCM & MPEG Audio in the AC3Filter setup so it will leave DD/DTS go through SPDIF and leave SD stuff go the analog route.

ahhh.. In trying to get it to work I just unchecked the mpeg one. not the PCM. ill try that tonight.

I unchecked the PCM and MPEG outputs. when I leave the "Use SPDIF" option in ac3filter checked i only get AC3 out to my amp, nothing out the tv speakers. when I uncheck that option I get stereo out to my amp and stereo to my tv speakers. guess I need an option to use both analog and digital...

any thoughts?

i keep trying. I just cant get ac3filter to do both digital/optical/AC3 out and analog stereo to the tv... if I figure something out ill post it here

thanks! Ive tried everything as well, and currently have given up on AC3, just have everything in stereo.
