Digital Cable

I was just wondering if anyone can help with a little problem. I have two PVR 250's. One I have set up with the analog channels to 99. The other has the cable box connected via s-video. When I schedule a recording on say ch. 44 it will record fine, but when I need it to record a channel over the first 99 it just records whatever the last channel it was on instead of say ch. 521.

I was just wondering if anyone else has had the same problem and how it was resolved.

Thanks.

Do you have your IR blaster set up correctly to control your digital cable box?

i.e. does your box change to channel 44 to record?

I actually have it hooked up via serial with the motorola plug-in and it works very well, other than the recording issue.

slim, do you mean that it works when you watch LiveTV on channels higher than 99 and not when it tries to do a scheduled recording on those channels?

yes. I can watch those channels (above 99), but when I schedule a recording it doesn't record those channels.

So are you you able to select a channel above 99 in the guide in the current time slot and then have SageTV tune into that channel for immediate viewing?

It appears to be working now. I guess it was a twilight zone thing. I bought the product before the holiday and set it to record a couple of shows. It recorded the Highlander on ch. 44 fine, but when it recorded the show from ch. 502 it was a show from ch. 44 in the same time slot. I got back from vacation and tried to watch the show and clicked on the same episode that I tried a few days ago to see what would happen and it was the show that I wanted. Very strange how that happened. I have it set up the same way today and will double check after work to make sure everthing is straight. Thanks for everyone's quick replies. I just want to say it is a great product and the community backing it appears to be helpful as well. It is nice to have interest from the owners in trying to make it even better. Keep it up everyone.

Sean
