Motorola DCT2224 Guide Problem

Greetings!

I have a Motorola DCT2224, and I just moved to a new city that is serviced by the same cable company I used before.

I decided to subscribe to basic cable service only at this point in time (not digital), but would still like to use my DCT2224 for some of the features it has (the built in guide for example).

I was surprised to find when I first plugged it in it looked like it was going to work. I hit the "Guide" button and got a message "This service should be available in about 5 minutes." Well, the guide now works, but it has the listings for my old city

Does anyone know how I can change this? (I'm guessing it's the "Region" code, under Cable Box Setup."

Because I'm no longer subscribed to digital cable the cable provider wants to charge me to send a tech out to do it

Thanks in advance!

My guess is the box is not authorized for the new system, and is still hanging on to info from the old network. You need them to reauthorize the box which they can do over the network. However, given these boxes tend not to be owned by the consumer, the tech visit may be the way they verify it didn't come from another of their systems and is "missing property"...
