Hauppauge 350 and composite input
I'm trying to get composite in working on my Hauppauge 350.
I'm using a composite to svideo converter (I beleive it came with the card?). However all I'm getting is black and white. Does anyone have composite in working? Also, does anyone know about a solution (a box) that would automatically switch between comp and s video depending on the input and output svideo? |

Upgrade to the latest Hauppauge drivers and that should fix your problem. With the latest drivers you will have a number of composite choices so you may have to try each one to get the right one.

Do I need to really uninstall the existing driver prior to upgrading to 1.7?

I didn't, but you do need to run HCWCLEAR which appears to do the same thing as a uninstall. You do need to uninstall the Hauppauge Video decoder. I just installed the latest Hauppauge drivers dated 10/10/2003 with version number of 1.17.390.21283
I just followed the Hauppauge instructions. It did not correct any of my problems related to multiple tuners but hope you have better luck. |
