New Daylight Savings Time and Windows 2000...
For those of you (Are there any??) who still run Windows 2000, and are understandably upset that Microsoft developed a patch to fix the DST changes that begain this last weekend, but won't release it to you unless you release to them $4000, I found a workaround that seems to work great.
Download this little application Microsoft made available years ago.. http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...52f/tzedit.exe When you run that app, you can select your time zone and then under the Daylight Savings Area you can change the start and end dates of that time period to match the new rules.. ie, 2nd Sunday in March and 1st Sunday in November.. Then close it down and open up your clock again.. change the system to any time zone other than your own, then move it back to your own ad the system should now correctly show that you are on DST.. What a pain.. FYI |
