Want 2 DCT's running on my dual tunner system

I have a couple of Motorola DCT’s and I’d like to get them both running on my dual tuner Sage system. At the moment I have a USB-UIRT changing the channels on one of them. It’s not as accurate as I’d like and it sometime misses changes. I’d love to use the serial plug-in, but my serial port in not enabled and my provider is unable to send a hit to the box to enable it.

Ideally, I love it if someone was able to give me a code or firmware setting that would enable the serial ports on the boxes, but I don’t think that’s likely. Is there anyway that anyone is aware of to set up discrete channels on these boxes so I could be controlled individually by the one USB-UIRT? If neither of these are possible and I picked up a second USB-UIRT using one uirt for one box and the other for the other, would sage v 5 support it?

Thanks guys.

This thread is what you are looking for...they go into detailed descriptions of how you can set up zoned IR.

As for the DCT boxes- try taking it to your local cable office and swapping it for a working serial port box....that I think maybe your best bet.
