Windows 2000 Server compatibility
Has anyone tried using a capture card drivers such as the Hauppauge 250 and SageTV software on the Windows 2k Server platform? I would like to use Sage and the capture card in my server at home since it will be on all the time anyway. I figure that will save some energy and then I can stream media via ethernet to any tv in the house. My only concern is the compatibility with 2k server.

Fine on Advanced Server
I'm running Sage 1.4 with the Creative DVCR card on Windows 2000 Advanced Server no problem. Haven't done any streaming or anything as I am skinning that particular cat a different way. Of course I lose sych from time to time, too often for me, but that is a Creative problem not a Microsoft/Sage problem.
hope that helps. hittr |

Thanks for the info. I realize I may have made a few typos in what I stated before, but that's what happens when I'm online at 1 in the morning. Basically, I plan to run SageTV on 2k Server and then find some inexpensive network media player boxes to stream from the server. However, I have not used Sage yet. Will Sage save directly to an MPEG format or Divx/AVI format?

SageTV will save directly to MPEG-2.
