HDHomerun and Encrypted Programs

I'm going to start a new thread for this.

As mentioned in another thread in this forum, yesterday Comcast in Seattle changed the QAM channel assignment for the NBC affiliate KING-TV.

Yesterday when I tried to run Sage, I couldn't do anything--I just got a bunch of the spinning Sage Icon. As I've mentioned in the Sage Software forum, I apparently have a data drive going bad, which is something I've discovered trying to diagnose this.

But, here's my question. When I moved all the recordings to another drive (except one--the encrypted program), I still could not get Sage to work. When I figured out how to delete the encrypted program (I had to turn off all Sage services, because one was accessing it), Sage started working. So, if you record an encrypted program with the HDHR, will that cause Sage to hang when you start it and try to watch programs?

I think you have to give it a LONG time (maybe it is parsing the whole file looking for usable data?) but eventually it comes back. Funny thing is when you try to tune the channel live, it takes about 10 seconds and then just gives a no signal error.

I gave it maybe 20 minutes once, but most the time I wasn't that patient.
