Feature-request: padded shows on same channel
Hi,
didn't know what to make of the subject but wit a few more words I can probably explain what I want: If I want to record 2 children's programmes of 5 minutes on the same channel I'd like to be able to add a few minutes before and after the show. This way it would write 2 files - with a bit overlap for end of first show and begin of second show in the 2 files. Now I just record the first one and change the end time to include the second one. (after I remember having read something that it would loose a split second between the two shows). -> Benefit would be that I can search on the correct program name - now I have to find the second show using the first one. I hope this still makes sense. Jan |

Re: Feature-request: padded shows on same channel
I would very much like this functionality too.
I recognize that it would tax the disk I/O subsystem harder - essentially double that piece of it, wriiting the same data to trwo file. But it would solve a lot of issues regarding back to back recording padding. Sounds like a good idea, RIGHT JEFF? (I assume Jeff is still reading these forums on occassion in between his power development of v2.0...). Jason Last edited by JasonJoel; 11-20-2003 at 05:05 PM. |

I was thinking exactly the same thing the other day. I just hadn't happened to ask Jeff if it was possible to write to 2 separate files at the same time using the same data. But hey, this thread will do just fine!
You have my vote!
