No Small Task!
I have convinced my wife it is in her best interest to help here. I will be walking her through getting the log posted shortly. I am sure she will extract blood for me having her work with the computer....

How is this for weird,...
I was walking my wife through enabling debug_logging and since she had already tried to play a video sage was showing the circling arrow. Well as this never seems to go away.. I had her bring up task manager and kill sage. She then tells me there is a message on the screen from MS OneCare to allow the running of Mplayer.
Items of note: I run Sage Client in FSE mode, Sage Server as a Service, and only use UNCs for imported files. In the past these messages have popped in front of sage and I have been able to see them and click on allow. I do this each time I install a new version. This time I do remember not being prompted and thinking "ok" they changed something and MPLAYER isn't required. But there it was hidden behind Sage and never came to the foreground. I also know that OneCare recently deployed version 1.5. After I had her click on the allow option and then restarted sage, all imported videos played fine. I then had her remove the debug_logging line from the properties file and restart, and it was still working... Including playback of Ripped DVDs I don't know if there is a change in FSE in sage that it now works where it doesn't allow popups outside it's application space or perhaps a change in MS OneCare. Either way, Jeff, sorry I don't have a failed log to send in. I hope this is a similiar root cause for others. I am working now. Wife very happy. My Daughter is watching Elmo! Others with runtime security applications might want to check for similiar issues. Last edited by edbmdave; 02-19-2007 at 09:46 PM. |

For the current RC if you set
videoframe/use_nvidia_pp_when_decoder_selected=false It fixes the problem for me with Imported DVD's. Cheers |
