I could not find a review, but by looking at the chip set it appears to me that this device is limited by the MPEG encoder (Conexant CX23416). This encoder specification states:
• Supports MPEG-2 (MP@ML, SP@ML) and MPEG-1 - 525/60 (NTSC) up to 720x480 @ 30 fps - 625/50 (PAL) up to 720x576 @ 25 fps From this I do not think that the HiDef out of a set top Box would be converted to 720p or 1080i. The picture quality would probibly be improved due the the component input, but that would be about it. Tim
