A really dumb question

I'll admit to being totally clueless about this, but I'm looking subscribe to the MLB.com video broadcast (via Windows Media Player) this year. Does the Sage Media Extender allow me to stream this broadcast to my television? Does anything?

You'd think that this kind of thing would be plainly spelled out somewhere, But I've not seen it. I've got all the technical capacity I need to install stuff and make it work, but I don't want to invest my time and money in a non-solution.
