PVR-150 MCE IR Blaster Problem
So yesterday I bought the MCE version of the PVR-150. Im running XP Home but it should still work. I have the irbus.sys and irbus.inf files in my system 32 folder. When looking at device manager under 'Other Devices' it says eHome Infrared Transceiver with a Yellow Question Mark saying drivers arent installed. I tried uninstalling and it just reinstalls the same ones. When i unplug the IR Blaster (It came with the IR blaster box and the ir transmitter cable) the ehome goes away, plugged in it comes back. However up at the top i have Infrared Devices listings saying Built-In Infrared Device. The remote is communicating with the blaster because the red little light is flashing, saying its receiving correct? Lasting going to the Hauppauge software and clicking BlastCFG i get a runtime error 429 - activex component cant create object and clicking IR Blaster Configuration it says IR hardware isnt installed. I installed all three drivers for the IR off the cd that came with cd. So what can i do to get the blaster to be recognized by Windows? *sorry for the story :P*

If you have the MCE kit, you've got the MCE remote & should check out a couple of the sticky topics at the top of this Hardware forum section to see if that info helps.

Make sure you're running at least XP Pro w/SP2. There's a hack out there to get home to work with it.

Did you check out those sticky threads at the top of this forum? There are links to check out for the MCE remote & blaster. The Hauppauge software isn't the way way to determine whether the blaster is working.

I installed the "Update Rollup 2 for eHome Infrared Receiver for Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 (KB912024)". The rest of the guides for the MCE remotes need me to update the driver on the USB device, however its not showing up under Universal Serial Bus Controllers
