Strange Navigation Issue
Hi,
Im hoping someone knows how to help me. I am currently running the latest Sage, with an MCE remote. I run SageMC as my STV, but I also have this issue in the standard STV. After a nasty crash earlier this week, I find that I can move up and down one menu item in either direction, but no further. Im having to use mouse to navigate. Should I just do a reinstall or has anyone else ever seen this ? Cheers Mark

I have no idea if this is your problem, but I'll offer an uninformed suggestion anyway.
Some remotes use one IR code when the button is initially pressed and another code for the repeats. Others use alternating codes. Try learning the IR code for the same command twice in a row and see if it registers 2 different IR codes. This would be the case for alternating codes. The second option is learn the first code normally and for the second, press and hold the remote key first and then activate the learning for the command in sage. This would take care of a second code used for repeats. You could also check the remote repeat delay property to make sure it didn't somehow get screwed up. As a last resort, you could backup your properties file and then delete all of the stored IR codes and start over. HTH Aloha, Mike

Thanks.
I'll give the suggestions a try. It seems strange though, it worked great until the system crashed. Cheers Mark

Hi,
I ended up reinstalling windows and Sage, and still have the same issue. I've disabled the MCE remote in device properties and installed HIP, which works as a workaround, but lacks the smooth easy use that I had prior. With HIP, sometimes I find a single key press causes a double movement , etc. Anyone have any other ideas ? Cheers Mark
