Slingbox and SageTV

Ok so here's my question. I have a SlingBox AV and i love it tremendously. I now want to find something so if i am out and don't have my macbook with me and want to record a show i can use that software to program it onto my macbook and record tv on my laptop (rather than the vcr). Is SageTV the solution for this or not???
