question about fine tuning

Well, as some of you may of seen in another thread, i'm using a PVR250 and a PVR250MCE that Hauppauge sent to HTPCNews for review. However I have a couple problems now that I got the two cards working correctly inside Sage TV.

First of all, the MCE is using its own Tuner and the regular PVR250 is using the S-vid in (coming from the cable box, of which it controls via an actisys). Here's where the first problem lies, the MCE can tune some channels 100% perfectly, however some channels are just pure static! Some are awesome, some are very dirty looking... Is there some easy way to fine tune these channels in? When I was using the WinTV application, it worked on all the channels, however Sage isn't having an easy time like the other.

Second, When using the PVR250 (reg one), I have video but no sound... I had sound earlier when I first got it working.. (I think I did at least).. any easy fix for this?

Third, When trying to use the Hauppauge software to tune the radio that's on the MCE, I only get TV channels in! and whats weird, is it's the station that's coming from the Cable box into the reg PVR250!!! How weird!

Well, hopefully I'm not rambling too much.. I can tell I am really close to having this thing working 100% and can't wait! Hopefully someone can offer some insight... I did a search here in the forums however I found things like editing the Registry and such... is there no easier way to fix this? (the tuning problem)

Thanks!

Edit: After rebooting now only like 10 of the channels on the MCE are bad... what in the world! oh, and the sound on the reg PVR250 works again..

Very strange.. but I still need to fine tune some of the channels on the MCE I guess..
