Gerry, you said "I'm running 2 x nVidia DualTVs. You can do that with the latest beta drivers"
Are you talking about nVidia DualTV drivers? If so, I can only find Vista drivers on thier web site. If you have updated XP drivers, can you tell me where you got them? Thanks, Charlie |

My god Sage! When you add something so important like that, make it more known! LOL... sheesh, I've been waiting and waiting and listening, and never heard of it till you posted that quote. What the heck... I didnt even see that in the release notes I was reading about 6.0.19 I downloaded to install. ^@$%#@!$%!$#@ Ok... hmm... so it DOES now fully support the nVidia DualTV cards?! If so, hell, I'm buying one today to replace my two PVR150s!~!!!#1##oneone1!!! |

Mr Hat:
Looks like I'll also be buying one. So far it looks like Nvidia direct is pretty reasonable in cost (as mentioned by some1 here before). Kinda excited about it... |

I'm also looking at ordering a few nvidia dualtv cards.
What is the max number of these cards that can be used with the beta drivers? Specifically I would like to use 3. Also, how did you get it for $145 at nvidia's site or get free shipping? Are there any coupon codes out there for nvidia's site? Thanks! |

I just did a new build with 1 DualTV and 1 PVR500 "Type A". I don't need glasses. There is not a "Wow! Look how much better the DualTV is!"...to me. I don't like the nVIDIA 93.71 drivers I'm forced to use because of my 7950GT, so I wish I could use the 84.21's to really compare. Add the fact that you can tweak the "Blur" settings with the 500, and I wouldn't be sad if I just had to use PVR500 "Type A's". I'm going to try the older .185 decoders...on .223 now.

Ive been messing with getting my directv working, and as such, I've had PnP on my TV with a feed from the directv box (so I can tell if channels are changing when I use config utilities etc).
When I watch the feed in sagetv via PVR150, and compare it to the PnP of the direct feed... man, the quality is night and day. I wish capture cards could be as good as it looks coming straight out. The PVR150 I am using to capture, at full quality dvd 3.6gb/hr etc... looks like crud. Its blurry, has bad banding of colors, solarization effects, nasty whites and blacks, a sort of ghosting image effect with fast movement of heads and hands. I've tried and tried and tried calibrating. The sharpness setting does absolutly nadda, and some of the other problems are simply not calibratable. I dont know if its the 93.71 drivers, or the purevideo decoders, or simply the capture card is pure junk. I mean, the desktop, sage interface, still images all look SUPERB from the HTPC to the HDTV. But video playback is disgusting from sagetv. Playing a DVD does not look so bad, but it does have a -bit- of solarizing. I noticed this when I upgraded from 91.x to 93.71. However I had too, because the 6150 gpu had a serious problem with all prior 9x drivers with 'boxies'. So, I am either stuck with 93.71, smooth playback, but squinchy coloring... or 84.21, playback that pauses for a couple seconds with a quick speedup-catchup glitch, but good quality coloring. *sigh* nvidia.... when will they make great drivers again lol. So, in light of the nvidia DualTV card... Im interested in this, because obviously my PVR150s really make a mess of recorded input in relation to like a DVD movie, or game videos, pictures, desktop. |
