Dazzle DVC 170 MPEG-4/DivX support

I bought a Dazzle DVC 170 and it is working fine. But I can only have the default quality that comes with SageTv.
I would like to be able to encode directly in mpeg-4/divx. How do I do this ? Is it possible to change the encoding format for the property file, what is variable name and Value ?
