Re-ordered frq file doesn't load in SageTV
Hey,
I'm having problem loading a customized version of my frq file. What's happening is : I go through the all startup wizard thing and setup my tuner card (dual tuner WinTV-Nova-t 500 with 3.3c drivers) so I get my basic frq file working ok but the TNT lineup isn't in the right order (damn French providers). Then, i stop every instance of Sage running and open my favorite text editor to order the channels the way they should be. I then restart SageTV and when i go to Live TV i get the "no signal" screen. What have i done wrong? - I tried to re-map my channels through SageTV either way using the physical and logical mapping this seemed to work up until I set up my xmltv lineup. (I've already re-ordered my xmltv listing using StephaneM xmltv importer tool). - I also tried remapping my lineup directly in the sage.properties file to match my custom frq file but still no luck.... Anyway, everytime, i put back the original frq file generated by Sage in the first place the "no signal" screen disappeared letting me view the channels out of order and out of sync with the info banner properly displaying my xmltv data. I doubled checked my custom frq file and didn't find any trailing characters or spaces! So to resume: How can i re-order properly my channels for Sage so they can be in sync with my xmltv lineup. I'm running Windows XP Pro SP2 French, Java RE 1.6, Hauppauge CD driver 3.3c, PowerDVD7. I've try with both client and service mode. |

Hello,
Quote:
So What I suggest you is : * Open your original frq file into Notepad * Delete the channels you don't want in there (obviously all suscriber channels and all blank channels) * Don't reorder the channels but only change the channel number * Change the total_channel numbers (it must be greater that the number of channels you really have to be safe). The in the XMLTV importer, if you choose "1" for TF1 channel in the frq file, the simply put "1" in the channel editor of the Importer for TF1. You'll have to delete your video source and configure it again, but it should work fine. For instance this is how my frq file looks like: Code:
#DVBT channel setup table ver 2.1, country:France loaded predefined freq table: 50 channel freq total_channel:20 #ch:index onid tsid program_id freq band 0 ctrl_bits(1:enable; 0:disable) ch:1 8442 6 1537 562125 8 0 1 #TF1 ch:2 8442 1 257 586125 8 0 1 #France 2 ch:3 8442 1 273 586125 8 0 1 #France 3 ch:30 8442 1 259 586125 8 0 1 #France 4 ch:5 8442 1 260 586125 8 0 1 #France 5 ch:6 8442 4 1025 498000 8 0 1 #M6 ch:7 8442 1 261 586125 8 0 1 #ARTE ch:38 8442 2 513 474125 8 0 1 #Direct 8 ch:33 8442 4 1026 498000 8 0 1 #W9 ch:31 8442 2 514 474125 8 0 1 #TMC ch:35 8442 4 1027 498000 8 0 1 #NT1 ch:39 8442 6 1538 562125 8 0 1 #NRJ12 ch:158 8442 2 517 474125 8 0 1 #Europe 2 TV ch:40 8442 2 516 474125 8 0 1 #i>TELE ch:44 8442 2 515 474125 8 0 1 #BFM TV ch:128 8442 2 518 474125 8 0 1 #Gulli Stéphane. |

Thanks a lot!
I did check my file and found out they were formated as MAC instead of Windows/DOS. After that I removed the unnecessary channels like you suggested and it works like a charm. I didn't even had to change the channel numbers. Thanks again for the quick response. Last edited by cortechs; 01-14-2007 at 11:54 AM. |
