Question on replacing recording drive

It seems like there are multiple methods of doing this with varying degrees of complexity. Will this easy method work?

My recording drive (actually just a partiton) is only 45 GB, drive letter D, path to recordings is d:\video). I want to add a SATA drive of 400 or 500 GB to dedicate to the task. Can I simply:

1. Add the new drive
2. Shut down Sage
3. Move the contents of d:\video to to new drive (also in a folder called video.)
4. Change the drive lettering so the new drive is now D, with d:\video containing the shows.
5. Restart Sage

Will sage just see the new drive as the "same" d:\ video as it did before and carry on, with the already recoded shows intact? Or is there something that I'm unaware of that will cause this to fail?

That should work fine. The SageTV FAQ has information on doing more exotic moves as well if you'd like. (Moving from PC to PC, moving recordings to different folders / drives, changing to UNC paths).

Indeed it did. Thanks. Sage now has a terabyte to play with. 500 GB for imported media, 500 GB for recording.
