SageTV V6 Server work with Client V5?

I am planning on upgrading from SageTV V5 to V6. If I upgrade my server to V6, will my PC client V5 work ok with V6 server?

I don't want to upgrade my client for now.

No it won't.

You realize there's no charge for the Client upgrade right?

Generally speaking, running mixed versions seems like a dubious idea since if something goes wrong, you won't know it it's a real bug or just an artifact of the mixed-version setup. Certainly the support folks will tell you to bring everything up to a consistent version before reporting any issues.

Yeah minor revisions (ie x.y.18 vs x.y.19) is usually OK, but whenever you start looking at major revisions ( x.1 vs x.2 or x.* vs y.*) you're better off just making both the same.
