WinTV-PVR-500 Setup Ok; Playback Bad!
I am not sure if anyone else has come across this issue, but I am able to set up both tuners in the WinTV-PVR-500 fine. The "View" button shows a nice clean picture in the channel setup screen.
When I look at shows recorded via Sage over one of these tuners the picture is grainy and very poor. Any suggestions? <I'm about to throw it out and get another single tuner> Thanks! |

What is your record quality set to? I am running two PVR-500's with excellent results. I use "GREAT" and get image quality that looks better than direct analog cable. You might also experiment with various PVR-500 drivers. My drivers are 18 months old and I see no reason to change them.
Good luck! --John |

Which drivers?
Been having this issue too somewhat but haven't really had the energy to look at it more closely. Could you please indicate which drivers you are using more in detail? I have a PVR150 in the same machine and it produces much better looking videos than the PVR500 although I installed exactly the same driver.

Same problem
Just installed a PVR500 alonside my 250. When I play back anything recorded on either PVR500 tuner, it is very grainy. When I play back anything recorded on the 250, it is crystal clear.
I used the PVR500 drivers that came with the card. PVR250 = 1.81.21.22266 PVR500 = 2.0.43.24103 Can anyone tell me drivers that are working well and where I can find them? Thanks! UPDATE: Found this thread. Followed the instructions from "Joe the Dude" and I think I have resolved the issue: http://forums.snapstream.com/vb/arch...p/t-33675.html Last edited by bhageman; 02-20-2007 at 09:27 PM. |

prior posts suggest that this dual tuner requires a much stronger input signal than normal.
