Can SAGETV use Zap2it CDN Listings?
I notice that Zap2It has pretty good Canadian TV listings. Is there any reason why SageTV can't access these listings?
Alternately is there a way to use, say a Detroit station and then add some of theCanadian channels while deleting the unneeded US channels. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks G^2 |

Most certainly. I have been running SageTV with the Zap2it Canadian listings for months now. Simply follow the "How to" at teh top of this forum but substitute in your Postal Code where the Zip Code entry is specified and you should be all set...

Can SAGETV use Zap2it CDN Listings?
Sorry, I probably wasn't clear - I don't really want to use the XML plug in.
It is my understanding that SageTV use Zap2it data as its regular full US program data source. Zap2it has Canadian listings. Is there a reason that SageTV can not directly/automatically get the Cdn listings from within the program without using the XML plug in? or is there a licencing issue involved? G^2 |

Yes - cost. Sage has to pay Tribune Media for the US listings. They would have to pay additional money for the Canadian listings. It hasn't made sense (yet) for them to do that, I assume because they do not have enough Canadian customers for their product to justify that ongoing expense.

Can SAGETV use Zap2it CDN Listings?
aH! That makes sense.
Too bad. SageTV works pretty good on the satellite feed and it would be nice to not miss the odd rescheduled show. Maybe in the near future....??? G^2 |
