New version: 6.0.19
I just saw that SageTV 6.0.19 has been released and while downloading I saw on sagetv.com/download.html, that a new version of Placeshifter is also there, 6.0.19.
What are the changes, why no announcement? And why the heck does the placeshifter not have some kind of about box? I never know which version I currently use... Oliver

Usually when Sage announces a new version it is a new version across the board except somethimes for Linux which may trail a bit. I can't recall a time when a new version was released for only the server, client or placeshifter.
A version number in the about box is a good suggestion. It's the last tab in Settings. Gerry

probably no updates for placeshifter since it was a quick fix for some major bugs in the server only, particularly the MVP license not registering bug. They probably changed version number for all clients just to match version number between server and client.
Checking the placeshifter client installer of 6.018 and 6.019, they are the same filesize, byte for byte. So I assume there are no changes beside version number. So basically, if the change log doesn't mention changes that affect you, then you shouldn't update.

In the case of the Mac placeshifter client, after installing the new 6.0.19 version, the about screen still says it's 6.0.18

Ahh, yep, that says I'm running 6.0.19.120 (albeit with a 6.0.18.0 STV file).
