MVP Lockups?

Hi,

I've been using a pair of MVP's for quite awhile. No issues. However when I upgraded to the release version 6, now I get occasional lockup within 2 minutes of starting the client. The lockup just seems to freeze. It completely ignores any remote key strokes except the power [on / off] button. When I cycle on / off it works fine. Anybody else notice this?

-Stan

Hey!

Interesting - I did not see .19. I'm installing it now. Hopefully it will fix it....

Thanks!

I take it .19 is a firmware version for the MVP. Where can I find this.
My two MVPs are turning themselves off.

I have 19 and my MVP locks up often, haven't found a time cycle and none of my IR commands work unlike the poster above.

continued lock ups with two mvps

We are seeing lock ups or freezes ever day on both of our mvp's.
We are leaving them on playing music from a large playlist. We've tried many things to try to resolve, but so nothing has phased the problem.
I would love to hear any thoughts or solutions.

Make sure you enable debugging and send in your logs to Sage.

I used to have a lot of lockups, but ever since upgrading the NIC in the server and the router, I haven't had a lock-up yest (still have un-acceptable delays sometimes that look like a lockup -- like 30 seconds, but once it gets going, no problems).

debugging log

Here is a log, took a little while to lockup this time. Since I don't have much experience with Sage I don't know what I am looking for I do see some questionable things at the end though.

I think the time it stayed up may have something to do with not having any other clients running. It was just the service on the server and the MVP.

The lockup is towards the end, it locked and I almost imedately shut down the service.

I'll locl it up again st see if the log looks the same as well.

Swapped out the MVP, I should have known my eBay MVP would probably be the problem.

Well they are pretty hard to internally troubleshoot so I don't know. My first one gets MUCH hotter then the new one.

I'll make ya a hell of a deal on it if you want it though.
