upgrading to 6.x from 4.x?
Hello
I am planning to upgrade to 6.0 soon from 4.x version. But I am not sure about if I would need to upgrade the Sagetv add-in's? I have installed things like the IMDB, RSS News Feed and a few others. After I run the Sagetv6 installer, would I have to download and install new versions of each of the add-ins I am using? Thank you Happy Holidays!

Well the old STV (the one you're using now with the customizations installed) should still work in 6.
However, none of the new V6 stuff (UI stuff at least) will be available then. The best thing to do would be to upgrade to 6 (which will reset you to the default STV) and then get the latest verions of your customizations and re-import them.

It is fairly likely that a pre-v6 STV will not work correctly in v6. Some Studio coding changes were required to work properly w/a bug fix, so if the older STV or import used the old style, it won't work properly. I recommend starting w/the default v6 STV, then checking the status of any import you plan to use.
