Ripped DVDs with mac placeshifter
Short and simple question. Does the mac placeshifter play ripped DVDs?
I get a message saying "there was an error playing: Error (-19) There is no media player that can playback the selected file" EDIT:: If I'd been a little more patient I would have found that the answer is 'no it cant'. Last edited by ukmgranger; 12-22-2006 at 03:43 AM. |

Does anyone not think this is an oversight? I was so thrilled to see that it worked. I was taken back several notches when I found out that it will not play a DVD that has been imported into sage and on the hard drive.
I occationally travel, and would like to watch a movie now and then aside from just the recorded TV shows and music. Why cant placeshifter recognise and play the VOB files like the server does? Is this feature on the board anaywhere's? ![]()
