GeForce 6200LE AGP and PureVideo
I'm trying to use the 6200LE card that I have in my HTPC to try out the PureVideo decoder. I watched a few tv shows just fine and then it started stuttering. This isn't HD mind you. Just regular SDTV. According to nVidia's information the 6200 should do PureVideo, not with all the options though. I dislike the SageTV Decoder. It runs the PDVD7 decoder just fine in VRM9 mode. I don't see any other system requirements for PureVideo other than the card itself.
I'm thinking the video card may need to be better to run it. I was looking at a 7600GS. The rest of my system is: 2.8Ghz Celeron D 865PE motherboard 1GB DDR-333 300GB SATA drive Hauppauge PVR-250 Hauppauge PVR-150 Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Video card is hooked only and directly to my home theatre system with S-Video. So, what do you all think? Is it the cheap 6200LE video card, which only has 2 pipelines as opposed to 4 on the normal 6200, that may be causing the problem? Obviously VRM9 works fine on the card, at least through the Cyberlink PDVD7 decoder. Just need someone else's experience and opinion running PureVideo. Thanks.
