Only ASP on MPEG-4. No MPEG-4 Type 10 (AVC). Also it says HDMI, but nowhere in the spec sheet can i find reference to 720p or 1080i/p. Always a bad sign, usually they brag about every little technical bit they are capable of.

My dream extender have high bitrate MPEG-4 Type 10 (AVC) support, and 1080p through HDMI.

Glad you like it, others of us are stuck with older "HDTV Ready" TVs that only have component jacks.

Last year I had a Panasonic rear projection LCD 40" that has 1 component. I had bought the 4 year warranty on it. So at 3 years 10 months the lamp went. When the tech replaced it he noticed some discoloration in some areas of the screen. He couldn't remove it and declared the TV unrepairable and so my warranty kicked in. I was lucky because I was actually able to get as a free replacement a 42" Panasonic plasma TV. So along with the 2 component connections it also has a HDMI connection. Currently being used with a HDMI to DVI cable and connected to my SageTV server.

wireless HDMI

I think I'll be waiting for this:
http://www.extremetech.com/article2/...129TX1K0000532

Sounds perfect for streaming HDTV from the puter to the TV:

"But whereas 802.11n routers top out at about 300Mbps peak data rates, Amimon is able to push 1.5Gbps of video data -- enough to deliver uncompressed 720p or 1080i video signals reliably -- across the same 20MHz-wide channel."

"Once segmented, the most-significant data is delivered with a high degree of fidelity, while less-significant data is discarded when transmission errors occur or bandwidth becomes constrained."
